Brian Huston held the welding program advisory meeting tonight. What a great a diverse group of people that volunteer there time to help insure Mr. Huston's program is top notch. Brian shared that his student Stephanie Kane won the State Skills USA welding sculpture contest and showed us the sculpture. Next step for Stephanie is Skills USA national contest, Good Luck!
International Training Institute (iTi) Field Representative Len Leibert Presents the Platinum Level Plaque to CSMWA-JATC Trustees Yesterday.
The Ohio Valley Coordinators Group consist of 8 apprenticeship programs in Ohio. The Coordinator from each program spends 2 days in Columbus helping run several contest. Eugene Frazier, Dan Kline, Cort Wayman, Clint Dockery, Wes Smith, Al Simonitis and Rob Gartner are the Training Coordinators planning and doing set up. Len Liebert from the International Training Institute (iTi) is in town helping to plan and coordinate events as well. We completely run the Sheet Metal and Welding Sculpture contest and we help with Welding and Welding Fabrication contest. This year the iTi brought their "VR" Lift, and numerous people had a chance to see what it is like to be in a lift on a job site through "VR". We can't wait until the awards today to see who wins the prizes and who is going to Nationals! Around 30 Union Sheet Metal Workers came out to volunteer and help pass on the trade, Thank You Everyone!
