JD White from Columbus State Community College put on a presentation tonight explaining how our apprentices can use the 36 college credit they get going through the apprenticeship to continue there education and get an associates degree. JD talked "plans of study" and answered questions. JD has been our College representative for years and is always ready to help. JD will be headed to South Point soon!
I am lucky enough to be involved with the C-Tec welding program for almost 10 years now. Really glad to be a part of this program, we get some good Sheet Metal Workers here! Welding Advisory meeting tonight for secondary and adult classes.

Another meeting today with MCACO, SMCCO, Columbus City Schools, Ohio DAS, COWIC, SMART LU#24 and LU#189. We are hosting a job fair at Fort Hayes on January 26th at 5 pm, mark your calendars! After the meeting I visited the Fort Hayes welding students, great looking class.
I attended the Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) Welding & Sheet Metal Fabrication Advisory Board meeting. Welding instructor Brad Dement did a good job chairing the meeting and keeping the members focused. We reviewed the program and had productive conversation. Looking forward to a new building with a brand new welding lab!
